6 lutego 2019 dobiegła do końca nasza australijsko-nowozelandzka przygoda z Emily i Anitą. 6 miesięcy wspólnych projektów i lekcji szybko minęło i nadszedł czas pożegnania z wolontariuszkami. Dziękujemy dziewczynom za ciekawe prezentacje i rozmowy, podczas których mieliśmy możliwość sprawdzenia naszych umiejętności językowych w najbardziej naturalny sposób, czyli poprzez rozmowy z native speakerami. I've had the privilege of being a volunteer for the last six months at Gim 33. For the last day of placement we wanted to give the students one last day of fun and Australian/ New Zealand culture. This included a cultural quiz for the older students and cultural flashcards for the younger students. This caused them to run around finding an answer. Anita also taught a stick dance rooted in Maori culture, which had everyone singing and dancing along. Student were also given different prizes for participating in the games, such as little koalas and books. Finally, the students had the chance to try some Australian/New Zealand treats of fairy bread and Vegemite with cheese. I hope the students enjoyed the day as much as we did. They are a wonderful group of young people and I am really proud of them.
